For antique mall & show booths
Booth price tags that keep pricing themselves
CodeCard was built in a booth, for this exact problem. Print a QR sticker for a card once; the sticker holds a link, not a number, so every scan shows today’s market price. You stop losing money on cards that ran up while you were not looking, and you never walk the booth with a marker again.
Why a booth is harder than a shop
A shop has someone behind the counter who can look a card up. A booth has a tag and nothing else.
You are not there when it sells
A booth sells while you are at work, asleep, or three towns over. Whatever the tag says is the price — nobody is going to call you to ask whether a card went up.
The market moved and the tag did not
Card prices move weekly. A tag written in March is a March price in September — which is exactly how a card that quietly tripled walks out the door at the old number.
Re-tagging a booth by hand is a whole afternoon
Pulling every card, re-checking comps on your phone, and writing new stickers is the job nobody does often enough — so most booths are priced off comps that are months stale.
How it works in a booth
Tag the card once
Search the catalog, pick the printing and condition, print a QR sticker on a cheap label printer. Takes a few seconds per card.
Put it in the booth and leave
The sticker carries a fixed link, not a price. Nothing on it can go stale, because the number is not printed on it.
A shopper scans it with their phone camera
They get today’s market price, recent sold comps, condition, and your asking price — no app to install, no account to make.
You never re-tag it
Three months later the same sticker shows the new price. Set a multiplier and a floor once, and the tag does the repricing.
Your booth gets its own page too
Every dealer gets a storefront at their own handle showing everything they have tagged, live-priced, that a shopper can browse from the aisle or from home. If your mall runs several dealers, each one keeps their own booth, their own prices, and their own multiplier.
See booths already on CodeCardCommon questions
- Does the shopper need an app to scan the tag?
- No. The QR opens a web page in whatever phone they already have. No app, no account, no sign-in.
- What happens to my tags if I stop paying?
- Nothing is deleted and no sticker becomes garbage. Scans show a paused page instead of a live price, and every tag you ever printed goes back to live pricing the moment the subscription resumes.
- Does the mall need to install anything?
- No. CodeCard sits on your cards, not on the mall’s register. The mall rings the sale however it already does — the tag just tells the shopper, and you, what the card is worth today.
- Does it work for things other than cards?
- Anything with a public market price: sports cards, sealed product, graded slabs, Funko Pops, and retro video games are all priced live. A one-off antique with no comparable market is better off with a plain hand-written tag.
Tag one card and scan it
That is the entire demo. It takes about a minute, it is free, and it does not need a card number.
